JACK NICKLAUS GRADUATED FROM THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY AS A FIJI IN 1961. SINCE THIS TIME HE HAS WON A TOTAL OF 18 PGA CHAMPIONSHIPS AND IS QUOTED AS SAYING “MY FIJI EXPERIENCE OPENED THE DOOR FOR ME TO MEET PEOPLE WITH DIVERSE INTERESTS WHOM I OTHERWISE MIGHT NOT HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW…I GOT MY EDUCATION AT OHIO STATE, BUT IT WAS THROUGH PHI GAMMA DELTA THAT I REALLY LEARNED HOW TO BE A FRIEND AND APPRECIATE PEOPLE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE.”
